QMHP-C and JaCaeri processed about the appropriate ways to respond so his aggressive behaviors will not continue to affect his relationships in the home, school, and community. QMHP-C also processed with JaCaeri about assertive communication. Intervention: QMHP-C informed JaCaeri that he can express his anger appropriately when he communicates with others by talking things out in a mature manner. QMHP-C engaged JaCaeri in a role-play activity where QMHP-C responded and demonstrated the way he responds aggressively. JaCaeri seemed receptive to today’s session in which he verbalized understanding of session. Response: JaCaeri identified appropriate ways to behave and understands that he can express his aggressive feelings by communicating. JaCaeri then verbalized assertive communication is something that he can definitely use to own up to how he is feeling instead of instantly acting in an aggressively. JaCaeri verbalized the ways his aggressive behaviors affect his relationships and informed QMHP-C that sometimes his siblings and peers do not want to play with him. Response: JaCaeri expressed his understanding in the session and the assertive communication that should be displayed when he is angered at sibling and parent. JaCaeri observed QMHP-C role-playing the aggressive behaviors he displays and he admitted that his behaviors are inappropriate as he participated in activity in a positive manner without an attitude.
